Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs publishes its 2020-21 Annual Report

December 9, 2021

Pennoni Honors College’s Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs (UREP) today released its 2020-21 Annual Report that highlights its efforts to usher students through research, fellowships and enrichment programming. Since merging the Office of Undergraduate Research and Center for Scholar Development in September 2020, UREP has streamlined its programs and initiatives to showcase the value of the process of self-discovery.

“Intellectual and self-discovery go hand-in-hand,” says Jaya Mohan, director of UREP. “This, we believe, is the definition of experiential learning: that what you learn from your experiences extends beyond the field you are in or the work you are doing to who you are as a person, as a scholar, and as a professional.”

In its inaugural year as a department, UREP has built on the successful legacy of its former offices to create stronger, more connected pipelines of opportunities for students - from applying for internal undergraduate research mini-grants to externally funded fellowships, from participating in enrichment workshops to presenting their work on campus and at external conferences.

The data presented in this annual report shows the impact the office has had on the students it has served while also underscoring the importance of UREP’s presence on the Drexel University campus.
